To the copyright holder
We are a group of A Level students working on an A Level project for a qualification in Media Studies. We are writing to request permission to use the following track as part of this project:
'Crazy in Love' by The Puppini Sisters
With your permission the track would be used as the accompaniment to a short form video that is made purely for assessment purposes and will have no commercial usage. The video will be viewed only by members of the school community and the assessor of the examination board.
The artist and the copyright holder will of course be fully recognised in the pre-production and evaluation material that accompanies the project. We can also include a full copyright notice if required both in the planning material and on the video itself.
Yours sincerely Charlotte Clark

Storyboard
We established the narrative and performance aspects of our ‘Crazy in Love' music video. We decided that the narrative would revolve around three female jazz singers who have committed a number of murders as they were ‘crazy in love’. The performance elements are a combination of a jazz club and prison location. There are additional narrative establishing shots of the murder scenes and the girl’s mug shots. We decided to incorporate a dance break in the instrumental section of the track.
The storyboard includes: drawings, locations, action, movement/type, sound, editing and timeline.
Our storyboar4ding was so organised that it allowed us to make changes in ur ideas. We decided to cut exterior night time shots as we felt it did not link to the narrative and therefore it was irrelevant.
We filmed each storyboard shot drawing individually and transferred the footage to final cut pro. We uploaded the track and fitted the images to the music timeline. After completing this, we realised that it was not cut completely in time with the music and that the pace was too slow. We decided to make the cuts shorter and have more editing transitions.
Here are some examples of the storyboard:
